Oudendijk Import and OZ Import set to merge

Oudendijk Import and OZ Import (a division of the Dutch Flower Group), two leading importers of cut flowers today announced their plans to merge as of January 1st, 2013.

Oudendijk Import currently serves its customers through its own location in De Kwakel but is set to move to the OZ Import premises. The combined company will be better positioned to serve its clients in the ever evolving global floral market.

Both companies primarily import exotic flowers such as Protea/Cape Green, Hypericum, as well as summer flowers from Africa, South America and Israel. In addition to handling the purchasing and training of growers, they also offer services in the areas of processing, customer-ready packing and marketing for growers to exporters.

The management will be led by Jurjan van der Laarse, while the commercial management will be the responsibility of Don van der Meer (exotic flowers) and Jaap Stelder (summer flowers). Tino Rodewijk will be responsible for finance. The contacts with suppliers will be under the responsibility of Niek Oudendijk.
